## Fix an MCP connection

messages from the MCP server

list-sites
** returns an empty list**

The MCP server lists only the Sites you connected to gscdump and the Sites shared with you through a Team. It does not list every property your Google account can access. Connect a Site at ~~/app/onboarding~~, then call
list-sites
again. If the list is still empty, check that the client authorized the same Google account.

**"Reconnect gscdump, then retry this tool."**

The MCP connection is missing, expired, or revoked. Reconnect the gscdump connector in your client. The client opens a browser window. Sign in to gscdump, then select Allow access.

**"This connection cannot access the requested Site."**

The connection is valid, but your user cannot read that Site. Call
list-sites
and use a
siteId
from its result. If the Site belongs to a Team, ask a Team admin for access.

**Reconnect a connector**

Remove the gscdump connector in your client, then add
https://gscdump.com/mcp
again. This starts a new authorization. Your Sites and preserved history do not change.

**Google connection expired**

If you revoke gscdump in your Google account, or Google expires the token, sync pauses. The dashboard shows a banner. Select Reconnect Google to resume sync. The record stays intact.

Still stuck? Send the error text.

Email [~~hello@gscdump.com~~](mailto:hello@gscdump.com) with your client name and the exact message. Do not send API keys or tokens.
