The current study asks how much query-level detail remains after Search Console's row limits, privacy filtering, and aggregation rules. It uses anonymized first-party aggregates from sites synced through gscdump. The aggregate output and analysis script are not published, so the reported results cannot yet be reproduced independently.

We compared page- and query-level aggregates to measure row-cap exposure and attribution gaps by site-size group. The large group contains three sites and the enterprise group contains two, so those results describe this sample only.

## Methodology

For the current study:

- **Individual site data is not published:** only anonymized aggregates appear in the article
- **Limitations appear with the results:** this includes sample size, selection bias, and the unresolved measurement window
- **Reproducibility status is explicit:** the raw aggregates and reproducing script are not published
- **The article states its reuse terms:** its text and original chart presentation use [CC BY 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/)

## What Google's Documentation Cannot Tell You

Google documents the [16-month retention window](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/monitor-debug/debugging-search-traffic-drops) and its treatment of [anonymized queries and top-row truncation](https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/17011259). Those rules cannot predict the attribution gap for a particular site.

Our internal dataset covers API syncs from sites of several sizes. We can use it for first-party aggregate analysis. Independent validation will remain out of reach until we also publish the aggregate output and analysis code.
